About Pastor Philip Ukoh

Pastor Philip Ukoh is a pioneer. Every day, his love for God and God's people motivates his deeds.

He surrendered his life to Christ in November 2008, straight out of secondary school and while preparing for his Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams in Lagos, Nigeria - when he met Jesus Christ and surrendered his life under the guidance of his favourite instructor. He received the Holy Spirit baptism not long after and has since spoken in tongues. The counsel and generosity he received from his teacher are so deeply ingrained in his heart that he has made it his life's mission to repay the kindness he received.

He studied psychology at the University of Ibadan, where he became a member of the Redeemed Christian Church campus fellowship and was appointed secretary. During the same time period, he was appointed faculty prayer president of the student faculty fellowship, allowing him to hold two roles concurrently during his first year at the university. Pastor Philip had already ascended to the post of student pastor in the student dormitory where he lived by his second year at university.

Pastor Philip's priority upon completing his bachelor's degree was to advance his career in education; he had no desire to be an executive member of any Christian associations. He cherished the potential to

work with children and have an impact on their lives in the same way that his old teacher had on his; he desired to perform ministry but in the educational sector. He was appointed as an assistant administrator at an American international school in Calabar, Nigeria, where he led the student fellowship and took advantage of the opportunity to preach the gospel and win souls for Christ.

During this time, he met his wife, pastor Judith Ukoh, in the south east of Nigeria, where they began courting and later married. Pastor Philip moved to England in 2021 and immediately began working as a maths teacher in Birmingham, UK. After his pastorial ordination to Streams of Joy in February 2022, he joined Streams of Joy Birminham and worked as an assistant pastor. He was named co-resident pastor at Streams of Joy London in July 2022.

Pastor Philip Ukoh is deeply committed to Christ and His people, particularly the youth. After Sunday services, you'd see him conversing with kids and youths. They would occasionally approach him for prayers or hugs. They absolutely adore him.

He is happily married to Minister Judith, who heads the children's and women's ministry at Streams of Joy London alongside Minister Ifeoma Moses. They have a beautiful little son named David.
